Arturo Wenceslao Gutiérrez Dávila
Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, on June 16, 1984.
I have a law degree from the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey, graduated in December 2007 with honors. Subsequently, I completed a Master's Degree in Tax Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and took some workshops and diploma courses related to the history of Western culture and philosophy. Currently, my professional practice focuses in a general manner on diverse topics of business law, corporate law, private investment structure and litigation in commercial matters.
My passion for cooking, the grill, the fire and everything around it started when I was a child, together with my brother Alejandro and my parents, who instilled in us the taste for good food and the enjoyment around the table and the fire. My dad has always been a fan of outdoor activities, mainly fishing and camping; from a very young age he allowed us to accompany him in these activities and from there my (our) passion for outdoor cooking with open sky and fire grew. Most of my memories related to family moments are around the table, in the kitchen with the whole family helping to cook and around the fire, the campfire and the grill. Not to mention the enormous amount of hours Alejandro and I spent watching cooking shows as kids and early ages of teens (I mainly remember “Two Fat Ladies” and Jamie Oliver's “The Naked Chef”, one of our first alter egos).
Prior to becoming involved with the SMP, I took a significant number of wine and beer workshops and courses in basic cooking and traditional cooking techniques.
I have been related to the SMP since before its formal birth, of course because of the family relationship with its founder, but mostly because it involves activities that we have always enjoyed together as a family and with friends. In 2018 I started to participate more actively and formally in the SMP in the administrative area and supporting in workshops, events, catering and SMP activities related to cooking and grilling. Currently I am in charge of the legal and editorial department of the SMP. I work as a Grill Pro, participating in more than 150 events and workshops a year.
