Armando Servín

Born in Mexico City on June 12, 1980, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad Intercontinental, where he developed his professional career in different areas of Administration and Finance, mainly in Grupo FEMSA.

In his childhood he was a fan of collecting knives and Swiss Army knives, remembering having a box of matches or a lighter at hand, always ready to light the grill.

His first moments in the kitchen were thanks to the influence of his grandmothers, curiosity was an important part, he was always looking for ways to help and was usually assigned the most meticulous jobs, such as cutting or peeling ingredients. Over the years he realized that food was one of the things he enjoyed the most, so he started to look for new ingredients, techniques and try the most iconic dishes of the places he visited.

The love and interest for the grill and grilled meat came about 15 years ago; despite living in Mexico City and having not too much space, he always looked for a way to light the grill.

His initial approach with the SMP was as a client, attending workshops in Mexico City and the Grill Master H-E-B in Nuevo León. After several workshops with different Grill Pros, he was invited to collaborate with the staff until he set himself the goal of becoming a SMP Grill Pro.
